I have been recently seeing "circus gobys" in my store. Apparently they are "new." Ive looked in many books and cant find anything on them, not even a picture. Im not so much as concerned with care, more curious as to how new it is.

I'm looking into getting one of these too so I'll tell you what I've found. They're relatively new to the hobby as in they haven't been collected much before. They seem to hide a lot, especially during the day, so if you want a fish that will be out in the open I don't reccomend getting this one. I've heard conflicting reports on what they eat, everything from crustaceans to hair algae, hopefully someone else can help clarify this. If you want to research it more, try searching for the scientific name Priolepis nocturna because they go by many different common names.

Well i have one in my 10g nano. As you can tell from the pic, he does spend most of his time like that- upsidedown in the rockwork. He is not active but once food hits the tank he quickly darts out to get it then darts right back in. Mine eats mysis and cyclopeeze on the random times that i throw some in. Im sure he will eat anything that he is presented with.

I don't know if their that new I have had one for 1.5years now and I really don't see much of him, he is very tough he somehow survives in the tank with a 2ft snowflake eel and in the last year i haven't seen him eat. I actually have to go on a quest to see if he is alive he is in a 120gal with 220lbs of live rock. When I had him in a 55gal he was out and about and loved to eat mysis and brine never saw him eat any algae.

someone just posted about these last week w/ some nice photos that peaked my interest ---they are better known as full moon goby or white tiger goby .
marinecenter.com sells them
not sure who else --- they are around $20-40 and just on the market within the last couple years. The one guy said his hasnt come out in view in the last 4 months, so dont expect to see it often. but they do look cool especially the males w/ all the finnage
