Cirolanid Isopod

Richard,
I have always used you in the past (always very pleased!), and I am setting up yet another tank , but I have a quick question.

In both my 55, and 22 I setup I had a few Cirolanid Isopods. I got them out with no problems, and havn't seen them since. What are the chances of getting them with a 90 package? Have they been appearing in packages lately?

Always a chance to get them....when you take the reef from the ocean and put it in your tank, your going to get whatever lives in the reef, which sometimes includes Cirolanid Isopods.

The choice is if you want real live rock with hundreds of live organisms, or not

The good news is these particular Cirolanid Isopods do not live long in captivity, are easily caught with a trap, or a slow moving fish like a mollie.

Do a search on RC and you will find some folks who got them and how they were eliminated. From the many thousands of Packages I have sold in 30 years I would say it is a real small chance of getting them from the feedback I get back from my customers, but it does happen.

Thanks Richard, that was the reassurance I needed! Just luck on being able to dive soon, and I will be putting in an order once my tank is setup!
