well if you are the recreational diver who relies on a computer, this wont work for you as it does not tell you what your NDLs are. If you are the type of diver that likes to use a bottom timer and a brain, this can work for you. I think it is a bit expensive for a bottom timer. Does it display averaged depth? Does it display dive time with seconds? Will the strap go around your exposure suit? (I seriously doubt it if you wear a dry suit)
Its a pretty sexy looking watch that can scream out "look at me, Im a diver!" maybe it can even help out at the singles bar? :) Personally I would look at ScubaPro digital depth gauge http://www.scubapro.com/#,en_US;contenthandler,6724,
and a replace the normal mount with a Deep Sea Supply mount
https://www.deepseasupply.com/index.php?product=129
this way you would have to rip two straps instead of just one before you loose your instrument.

If you use computers, look at the new scubapro Galileo, oooohhh if I used a computer I would get one (and just miss one months mortgage payment)

I have one and it works great. I dive about 20-30 times a year. Never had any trouble with mine. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!
