we will definitely be having one in the near future...I'll discuss this with Mia and Adam and get back to you guys asap. If you give me ~3 weeks it should be doable....we are installing a grooming room....

we are doing this only for city people and those willing to drive into town, there usually isnt events in the city and i as well as others feel that its time we start doing something. I think you guys out in the burbs get better stuff than we do anyways, you have the best stores, the cmas meetings are out there and when frag swaps happen they are a good drive for us.

I can't commit until a date is set but it sounds very interesting. I have some SPS stuff though the last swap kinda wiped me out. I will try to get around to posting some pics when the date is confirmed. Just a suggestion, try and set it so that the out-of-city folks can make it too ie not early in the morning or on a school night or something :)

Have never been to downtown pets either so that will be really cool.
 
I am not planning on getting one (could probably use one though) but Hubby & I were having a discussion about them. Being a pipefitter (heating & cooling industry), he is very familiar with chillers but what kind of metal is used inside them for heat transfer for SW? He says usually, chillers are made with copper.

Aquarium industry chillers are typically made with a titanium coil as a heat exchange element as it wont corrode or leach things into the water.
 
Alright guys...the swap here at downtownpets will be on December 10th from 1:00pm till whenever it ends!

The store will be closed, and only open for swappers...and for that day only everything will be 20% off.

We will not be reserving any tables yet, but will make a separate thread for that. If you're like us and like to have a brew or two while talking reefs we will have a limited quantity...just behave.

I know it is a little ways away, but we have a lot going on right now. It will be worth the wait. I hope to see you all at the store on the 10th!

I bought a colony of a really beautiful Suryaba last weekend that looks too big for my tank from Sea Schorr. I bought this colony and it looks great but it is too big. I am much more partial to frags. So nobody thinks I am choping and slicing I would be willing to trade a couple frags for some SPS and meet some people.

I have another thread where I have to take some pictures so I will try to do the same with these. All I have is a 1.3 camera phone so I will do my best.
 
whoaa, your store is literally like a block away from my freinds condo im always at i had know idea it was there! what a treat. count me in for the 10th!
