I have had theses since getting wild live rock from FL ~ 1995. Never bothered anything until clams were in the vicinity; usually find them going after the fleshy foot and causing death to the clam. Question- anyone know of a reef safe fish that eats them?
i don't know of any fish that'll eat them but whelks are predator snails and will seek out clams eventually killing them, i try to pick over all my rock before introduction into the system and if i ever see one in the system i always pull it out and toss it even if it means tearing a few corals loose to get at it unfortunately.
