Clam and Wave Box

I am upgrading my 75 gallon because of my 14" blue gigas clam that i have had for 1.5 years to a 150 cube. I purchased a wave box for the new tank and for 5 minutes of fun i put it on my 75 gallon. I got it adjusted to the tank and got the 1" wave going and just as i reached to shut it off and put it away i noticed that the clam was *diaphraming*. I dont really know how else to explan it, and im not sure how much this will occur in the larger tank but it does have me worried. The best i can explain is that water is whooshing in and out of the clam and made the flesh that spans between the two halves of the shell go up and down with the wave action. has anyone else experienced this? what did you do? how bad is this for the clam??.. i am very worried about hurting it..

gigas's are usually found at sufficient depth that they would hardly be effected by waves on the surface. i think in the long run this will definitely have a negative effect on the clam.

could you please post a pic ( or vid ) of the wave box in action on the new tank when it's installed, sounds awesome. ( or point me to a different thread )

it is neat.. i just cant get it to work on my new tank. It needs to oclliate faster than it can with the tunze controller. It worked on the 75, i think the smallest tank that it can work on is 4' in length. I already took down the 75 so i cant post a video for you. I was pleased with how it was working thought. Do a search im sure it will pull up something.
