Clam attachment

This might be a silly thing to ask, but when a clam attache it self, it is happy where it's located right?

most of the time it is happy when it is attached. Clams will give out signs of not being happy. IE retracted mantle, mantle reaching for light, mantle bleaching, and flopping on thier sides.

My clam has attached it self to my rock work, just wanted to be sure.
