Clam died

I have a Crocea (I believe) that I found dead this mrning. I have had it about 4 weeks ago and he looked great. the tank is a 90 gallon with two 250 watt HQI and two 54 watt T-5. Alk is about 9.5 dkh, ca at 410 ppm, nitrate and phsophate close to zero. Does anyone know what cause cause this. By the way, 2 days ago when I fed the fish, a couple of smalll food pellets looked like they "may" have gone in the clam. Could this have been an issue?

I doubt that would cause a problem. There is a slew of problems that can endanger a clam. What lighting was it under where you bought it? What other inhabitanats to you have with it?

I "think" there was either one two watt or one 250 watt SE MH bulb with VHO's. I hav had the clam for a least 4 weeks and it looked better than in the store. The tank is lightly stocked with a few soft corals and a couple of LPS. Could a hermit crab or small bristle worm be a culprit?

there are a lot of things that can kill a clam, you would need to have taken a picture of the symptoms. Or you can read a clam book or look for photos of snails, boring algae/sponges, bleaching, high temp can kill them, Pinched Mantle, theres so many possibilities.
