clam died

yesterday it was dead completely closed and no mantle showing , the day before it was partily closed and mantle still showing and day before that looked realy healthy ive had the clam for about 4 months. what went wrong?

very small brittle stars around 10 that i can count

10 astr snails
2 nass snails
10 turbo snails
gbta small on other side of tank

sps dominated tank few lps and fewer softies

Pyramid snails maybe? I think that is why I just lost mine.

no i allways checked for pyramid snails and never found any. i for got to add i also have a tiger pistol shrimp and a cleaner shrimp

that would be my guess

realy? i never seen the cleaner near it. when i took the clam out the foot was gone like it was eaten from the bottom up
