What do you guys feed your clams?

Anyone ever use the Kent Marine Microvert?

If you have, do you mix it in with green water?

u want to feed clams live food, microvert isint live.
i use DT's , and just got Phycopure. clams over 3" realy dont even need to be feed if ur lighting is right.

I culture my own live phytoplankton.

using dt's here and all my reading and research indicates that all clams even over 3" will benefit from feedings

Clams over 2 - 2.5 inches do eat, yes, but they derive about 90% of their energy requirements from photosynthesis. In fact, as clams get large, their digestive system starts to atrophy.

There is some question now even if it is necessary to feed small clams.

hey guys, how would i culture my own phytoplankton? and also, if i'm not culturing it, how does the store purchased phyto stay alive? thanks for the info,

do a search on phyto here theres a ton of info on how to make it,the store bought stuff has to be keeped refrideorated,and is only good for a few month's
