Clam Gurus...HELP...MY LTA tried to eat my new clam!

I'm looking for a little advice here.....I just bought a 3.5" T. Crocea from PA. Unfortunately, I didn't remember how "active" small clams could get. After placing him where I wanted...thinking it was a safe spot, one hour later I discovered he was missing. I tore a good portion of my rockwork apart thinking he had jumped between the cracks and then I noticed a large bulge in my dinner plate sized long tenticled anemone.....I was able to dig in and pull the clam out....hosed the slime off of him with a turkey baster, but he's not exactly "happy as a clam".....What do you think his chances are? Is there anything else I can do? Thanks in advance....

Jeff

BTW...the LTA is none the worse for wear....even after I stuck my fingers inside of him...

Clammy update: I'm keeping my fingers crossed....when I got home tonight, I hit him with the flashlight and he was open, mantle only partially extended, but WAY better than he did 8 hours ago. :)

Wow thats crazy. I had no idea a LTA could consume a clam. Just amazing, glad the clam seems to be doing ok.

it is strange....I was telling some guys at work this story and somebody asked if the shell would dissolve in the anemone if I hadn't gotten it out....and I had to say I didn't know....but I hope I never find out...
