Clam in trouble

I have a 5" crocea that has been lackluster as of late. I removed some vermetid snails 2 weeks ago and I thought it was doing better but this week it has not extended in mantle much at all. I noticed my cleaner shrimp inside it this morning and the clam is not closing when the shell is touched. I guess it is dead.

Should I remove it or let the crew take care of it? I have a 75 gal display with another 75 gal in my sump/system.

Thanks

Yes, the mantle is falling down into the shell. I have had the clam about 5 months under 2x250 14k MH on a 75 gal tank. I have a 3" gigas that is doing fine and has been growing that was added about a month ago.

This one has never been quite right when I bought it. :(

When a clam of mine died in the past I would just let the crew clean it up. However, I haven't lost one in a long time so I don't think I need to worry about that anymore..:)
