Okay this does not look like a pinched mantle issue or a predator issue to me. I checked the clam and it showed no predators I could see. The clam had its mantle extended yesterday afternoon into the evening and today this is how it looks after coming home from work:
Not sure if there is anything I can do to help this guy out or not. Params listed below;
Salinity: 1.026/35ppt
Alk: 8.5-9
Cal: 480-500
PH: 8.1-8.4 (depending on time of day)
no3:0-5
po4: there is some as I have algae no clorometer to measure it accurately enough
Temp:80-83
Flow: 2 modded maxis, modded k-3, tunze 6045
The clam is in a low flow area when it was on the rocks there was too much flow hitting the mantle.
There are no fish in the tank they are in QT
Only have a few snails and empy shells
ANy ideas on what I can do for this guy, lost my dersa the same way about 2 months ago just thought it was a fluke or bad clam. This has me believeing otherwise.
