Clam keepers...how much carbon are you running?

Yea I don't think there is a reason. Water clarity is always great to have as light is higher in clearer water. There might be other reasons to but I don't know of any. Carbon supposebly helps bind iron which is present in phosphate removers. Some have linked iron to issues with clams.

My personal belief is if you buy clams, make sure you know where you are getting it from. I've never had a single clam die or get pinched mantle. I've had a few for over 2 years.
