i run mine 11hrs

I run mine 10 hrs but I'm switching back to my T5 fixture due to increased energy costs.

Wow, so far you guys run them pretty long. I ran mine for 3 hours for about 4 months and they (my croceas) started fading in colour. I got 400W 14k. Guess I need to up the photoperiod.

Would 6 hours be ok? Or is 8 better?

i would think that only 3 hours is no where near enough, i would add an hour a day ( or two ) until you reach 8 hours or more. crocea's live very near the surface and need / love lots of light, the fading in colour is probably from lack of light.
