Clam pedestals

I just got more acrylic the other day to build more of the clam pedestals like I did for Chris's nano... Anyone else want any? I'm just looking to cover costs 2.50 ea, does that sound reasonable?

Here's a pic Chris took, if you haven't seen them yet...

An acrylic cup you can use to keep your clams from attaching to the bottom of your tank. They sit in these cups and rather than stressing out the clam if you want to reposition it, you just reposition the cup. :D

I'd be interested in 2 of them. I've been wanting a clam, but I'm afraid my Diamond Goby will cover them in sand. They should work great!

Nice but I like the natural look. I am not as high tech as Christo is. I'd take a Rembrant over a Dali any day!

LOL!!! You could always put a rock in front of it, if you don't like the look of it. :D It would at least get your clam off the sand and allow you to rotate it without stressing out the clam. ;)

I have a rock under it, Croceas love rocks. Once he is good and fastened, I will move him onto a bigger rock.

Hmm thats are pretty sweet, and at 2.50 each I would like to get 4 cause I never know when I will want more hehe.

It's pretty cool to have our own "resident" acrylic guy.
Someday he'll quit his stupid job, quit working 9-5 and enjoy the life of the acrylic maestro full time :)
Get out while you're young Eric, life's too short!
Christo ;)

Oh yeah put me down for 2 in the 2-3" range

Here is the latest pic, I moved the clams a bit. The stands work great even for the large 5"+ crocea on the right, I filled it with aragonite to about 1/4" or less to the top and the clam rests in there good.

They extent the foot and bysal gland once in a while but don't seem to be permanently attached.
