Can a Maxima be placed in the sand or does it need a rock under it? I see alot of people with them in the sand but I don't know if they have a rock buried under it.
as long as your lighting is strong enough to reach the clam it should be fine. placing a small rock under it will just give it something to grab on to and can also help it from tipping over
