clam placement?

Im thinking about adding a few clams to my sps tank. The tank is bare bottom. Can clams be placed on the glass or do they need to be placed somewhere on the rockwork? Thanks

clams will do fine on a BB, as long as your light is strong enough to reach them

Im not sure what kind I want to get yet. Im still in the planning stage. Any suggestions? My tank specs are in my sig.

with that lighting you could get any clam you want. but in a 58G i would stay away from Gigas and Derasa just because they will grow fast and large.

After doing aliitle research Im thinking I will probably get a squamosa. I really like the look of them.
