Clam Pooping or Expelling Zo?

Hey,

I have a crocea that is fully open and looks healthy. However, there was a brownish string of stuff coming out of its excurrent siphon. Is this the clam pooping or is it expelling its zoan. algae? It's under a 250 halide. Water params are great, no detectable phosphate. It reacts quickly to stimuli.
