Clams tend to move where they want to face. I had a Crocea that I wanted turned in one direction, but he kept moving himself in another direction. Which was where flow was coming from. If he looks OK and not gaping, then let him do what he wants.
How long have you had the clam? How long has your tank been set up? What kind of lighting do you have and what are your water parameters?
Thanks, I have a 10 gallon with 11 lbs live rock, 70w m.h., live sandbed, and over the weekend it shed it's "foot". It seems much happier now, and is looking hood. The tank is approx. 4 mo. old.
