This is sort of a two-part question...
My crocea has this worm-looking thing growing on the side of it. It looks like a snail/worm that has created a hard calcerous white skeleton/shell on the outside of my clam at the top by the mantle. It sends out these "streamers" to feed and seems to be bothering my clam. I'm not sure if it's eating the clam, but don't think so... just irritating. Does anyone know what it is? How can I get rid of it?
After some looking I have failed to come up with a website that has descriptions/pictures of various clam predators and/or symbiotic animals. Does anyone have any info?
