clam problem!!

I recently received a 3-4"maxima from a freind whos wife turned his 180 reef into a 180 freshwater by adding about 200 gallons of water to the sump and flooding his house as well!!here is my problem the clam had a 1/4"majona anemone on its shell and it moved into its mantle and the clam started not opening so I thought it was stinging the mantle and I very carefully removed the nem.from the shell without pinching the mantle,where should I place this fellow while it tries to heal,I have a 24"deep tank with dual 400 w MH any help would be great!!

what type of lighting did your friend have?

has the clam been acclimatized to your tank already?

my freind had 3 400 MH and yes he was dripped for about 3 hours before being placed in my tank I have him on the sand for now.

that should be fine, my concern was a drastic change in lighting shocking the poor little guy after what he's already been through
