Clam quarantine idea

I just found pyramid snails today and I cleaned both clams off very well. The derasa did not have any snails but the squamosa had dozens. I put new sand inside these deli dishes that I use to culture fruit flies. Do you think the top could keep out the snails while letting enough water and light through?

I also moved them closer to the power head. I can feel the flow over the lids.

I am going to guess nowhere near enough flow. The whole container would need to be perforated I would think.

I would break the scuttles and clean them very well with a brush. Put them on the sand bed and take them out every few days to reclean them. (or every weekend) until there are no more snails to be found for multiple weeks. This was how I got rid of parasitic snails from my tank.
