Is it safe to place a clam beside a hammer coral?

no, any coral that has sweepers or uses chemical warfare should be kept away from clams. it wont kill them right away but they will cause stress that can be detrimental to the clam.

Nope it will get stung. Safe corals are xenia and zoos.

How close can a hammer get to a calm so that it is safe? mine is a good 6 inches away, but I just though I would ask.
