I am interested clams and wanted to get some background information before i bought one.
I have a 30 gallon system that houses a black ocellaris pair, lawnmower blenny, scooter blenny, skunk cleaner shrimp, peppermint shrimp, brown serpent star, sally light foot crab, ~18 turbo sails, 3 nassarius snails, 1 albalone snail, 2 red leg hermits, 2 zebra hermits.
I have green star polyps, three different xenia sp., torch coral, couple mushrooms, sarcophyton sp., yellow colony poyps, two trumpet coral sp. as well as various macro algaes.
Lighting: 96w PC 10,000k and 96w PC Actinic. I dose with purple up once a week, coral accel three times a week, and DTs phytoplankton twice a week (i might go down to once a week and use the other day to dose zooplankton.)
Parameters are as followed:
Ammonia: 0
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates:0
pH: 8.2
Salinity: 1.026
Calcium: ~430
Phosphous: <1ppm
So the question is are my specs good enough for a clam? if so what type is hardy for my system type. thanks
