clam rating system

Is there a rating system from easiest to hardest, for clams? Looking at getting one for my tank, and want to start off easy

With decent lighting and good Ca and Alk they are all easy IMO (my maximas and croceas are incredibly hardy). Though I think most say that derasas are the easist cuase of the lower lighting.() : )

They can all die overnight for no apparent reason though, but being in the SPS game you know all about that

yeah...supposedly derasa and squamosas are the easiest, then the maximas and then the croceas. Like grimm said, I think it's because of the lighting requirements. I think I read somewhere that the gills of a croceas are more prone to clogging.
