Clam Stung By Anemone...PLEASE HELP

My girlfriend called me at work and told me the rock the clam is on had fallen off the shelf it was on, and the clam was upside down in the sand. I told her to flip it over and put it next to the pile of rock, and she put it too close to the anemone. When I got home the clam had anemone tentacles brushing across it from a near-by anemone. She said it had only been like that for less than an hour. The clam is starting to open back up, will it be ok?

I am assuming that it is further away now --- Yea it should be fine, there is a chance it make be off for a day or two but I wouldn't worry about it.

yes it is away from the anemone. i was kindof mad. i work as a mechanic and am dirty when i came home, so i made my girlfriend get up and move it immediately, even though she had company. i didnt even want it to stay there long enough to shower.

That is actually pretty darn funny. I tried that once, with my EX-wife. ;)

yeah i guess i should get gloves. that way i make sure there are no contaminants. what gloves should i get. i need to make sure the gloves dont have any stuff on or in them that will harm corals or fish.

the clam should be fine, they are very tolerant of other coral stings. one thing that has helped them avoid the otherwise chaotic warzone of a natural reef system. just keep an eye on it, and gl.

thank you. that is what i need to hear. i was so worried about the clam, as it is the best looking clam that i have ever seen in person, and one of the best looking i have seen pictures of. i love the clam, and between losing it's vissel threads and this, i just know it has been through a lot in the past month.
