Thinking about build a clam only tank. What would be a good size of tank? is 8"hight to short or should I go taller?
What equipment do I need? (other than skimmer, lights)
Ca reactor and Chiller?
Does anyone have any suggestions?
thanks
David

It all depends on how stable you can keep your water parameters.
Skimmer isn't an absolute requirement, in fact it might be a little anti beneficial if your tank is going to be fishless since there will be not much organics in the clams can utilize.
Chiller if you live in an area that gets very hot over the summer, Ca reactor or two part dosing its upto you.

Would you suggest put some fish and maybe anemone? so I can feed the fish and not worry about feed clams? What fish would you suggest? Iam in Inland Empire, CA.

I wouldn't do a nem, not in a clam only tank, they move arround too much. Any small reef safe fish would be ok but I think a few fire fish, bangaii cardinals, and maybe some pipe fish in a clam only tank would look great.

Okey, what do you guy think would be a good size of clam with fish tank? T5 or Mh250? I got both, just do not want to use chiller in the summer.
