clam touching air

i was at the lfs and the tank that had the clams srung a leak and the clams all were without water for about 25 seconds

would i hurt the clams (maximas)

No problem,

Clams can go a really long time without water. Giant clam farmers let them sit in sun for hours to induce breading.

25 seconds is nothing.

I meant BREEDING, clams are also good breaded, but I that's a different subject.
