clam ??

I just bought my first clam? the wife wanted it but I have not had the time to research about this animal.

1. Do I place him on the substraight on top of a flat rock or in the middle of the tank on the rock work?

2. What way do I place him vertical or horizontal?

3. Jus looking for some tip so I dont lose this guy, like I said it was an impulse buy because the wife liked the way it looked any kind of help is greatfull.

where you should place your clam depends on what type it is and what type of lighting you have in your tank. you should stand him up to where it opens on the top. most of them dont like super high flow so a place that has medium or so current. a couple of questions.
what type of clam is it?? what type of lighting do you have?? what type of tank mates are there?? these will help us determine what you should do to keep this guy in good health. good luck

plese try to do this research before hand. clams have specific requirements, and if not met, can quickly cause their demise. Please provide as much info as possible.
