Clams and Frogspawn

I have been useing clams as dividers for SPS, with no ill effects to clams from stinging. Was wondering if Frogspawn(Euphyia) LPS would hurt mantle, this would help control the sweepers and fill empty spaces. Thanks

They can irritate the mantle, in my experience- not as much as, say, torch coral, but still enough that i've had to rearrange-
