Clams under radium lamps.

I've been thinking about switching from my current setup (in my sig) to a 250w Radiums on an HQI ballast. I currently have a squammie on the bottom of my tank (about 24" due south of the water line) and a maxima about 12" under the water. Will radiums work for me?

I can't be the only person who has contemplated keeping clams under radiums....

I think the reason you haven't gotten any answers is because very few people even know what a radium bulb is.

May I ask why you wish to use them?

IMO you have a much wider variety of bulbs with mh.

Skinz, just looking to change the look of the tank. The XM 10k w/t5 blue+ is sharp, but I mostly do LPS and the clams of course. I don't need the par for SPS and thought I'd see if radiums would work to help color up my LPS. Of course the clams like the punch of the XMs, just wondering if radiums will work successfully.
