Clams what LFS have them

Looking for some nice clams.

I have a Squamosa and Derasa.

Looking for maxima mainly

Is that squamosa still doing good for you? Also YR had a couple last week when i was in there. I believe one was a maxima.

I saw some nice Derasa and crocea's at CRS yesterday. They were right in the front and the price was right.

I'd recommend getting your maxima's through clamsdirect. I've purchased several through him and have always been pleased with what I got, always nice and healthy. They also quarantine their clams for pyramid snails etc. Just a thought...

Seems like every time i visit there site they are always down for something. I did go there earlier today to check on clams and once again down until the new year.

I guess i will check it out in the new year and see what happens

i've seen the some amazing clams on clams direct, and if i remember correctly they have a flat rate on shipping so the more clams you buy the more cost effective. If you plan on buying a clam from them let me know and maybe others will want to get in on it too. We could have a group buy on some awesome clams. Just a thought

Clams direct also has an email notification thing where you will get emailed the day before Barry posts new clams on his website. You could email them and ask to be put on the email list. From previous experience, the nicest clams often sell within a couple hours from when he posts them, so you need to be quick with the credit card!
As for his shipping, last time I ordered clams, the rate was the same for up to three clams (like $30-40 total for overnight). I am not sure how well a group buy would work just because, again, the nicest stuff gets sold in minutes and it is all WYSIWYG. But, you contact Barry and see if he'd do something special for MARS, he might just do it.

Are the Hippo clams good for refugiums? I thought i read it somewhere but i could be off my rocker.

Clams direct has clams in!!! They look pretty nice. I was reading on their website that with up to 8 clams shipping is the same and free shipping on 10+ clams. I agree it would be difficult for a group buy though. Maybe someone wants to buy 10 nice clams and sell them at cost to the rest of us

I was looking also. Looks like they are all Crocea. But there are some really nice ones. I think if people wanted Crocea and acted pretty fast we could get 10
