Clams

[Tucson Reef]

Another one of my great observations. Ever notice how you notice something but never note it? Well a few days ago I bought a couple of cool clams at SouthWest SW, threw them in the tank and it dawned on me. How much the Mantel colors change and intenisifie over time. Bought a little Crocea from the first batch of Vietnam clams Rob brought in. It looked cool in the store and nice in my reef then. Well when I put the new clams in it hit me, how much that clam had changed. You really don't notice the change over time till you put another one in there and see the difference and then remember that clam looked the same when you bought it. Liz is real busy now but I'll get her to take some pics soon so you can see. The old one has dug itself into to Tonga I placed it on about 1/2" to 3/4" on both sides.
