do you guys think I coul get a lower light cla, such as a dersa, to live under 2x32w PC lights. I am running 2 50/50 bulbs. I thought one might be neat in my daughters tank.

I don't think it would be a good idea, but I am not a clam expert. maybe check out the forum on Clamsdirect.

wouldnt do it. not to mention the water quality in the 10 gallon would be changing more often.

I was worried about that to, but I really don't loose water out of that tank, and all my parameters are steady. Not sure if I will try it or not, just putting my thougts out there.

I like it, but i need to get a peice of glass or plastic to cove the light. Also I want to get a day bulb, just so i can try to do some easy sps in there. i would like to try some monti cap or digi in there, but that is down the road. I am letting her research and ask questions about what she wants to put in.

the canopy i made is kind of a pain in the arse to get open to feed or add top off water, but it keeps here from messing with it, so thats ok. She likes to aqua scape. She likes looking at the TOTM pics on the different forums and get ideas. She is now looking for fish. She wants a fire fish, and some type of little goby or blenny. I need to get some snails and maybe 1 other hermit for it.

you put all your thoughts out in 3 sentences lol

You have talked to me before, and this surprises you.......

jack arse.....LOL

I remember you telling me that. I an going to try it, and some digi to. I need to redo the rock in there again with her. After I had to take it all out to catch the fish for Bob, it wouldn't go back the same way.

hmm I agree and don't think a derasa would make out under that light......also derasas get big really fast.....

As for gobies I would recommend a citron gobie they are little perchers and sit on stuff even the side glass. Also a nice pair in that size tank is a small shrimp/gobie pair such as a wheelers or other watchman gobie and pistol shrimp.
