Good luck with the Clarions
Although I will admit it has been many years since my college party/scuba days in Baja, Clarion angels were easy to find/see. At least two dive charters took us on longer trips to outlying areas where Clarions and other tropicals were plentiful. I have been told, but cannot verify, that at least part of the areas we used to go have been declared military areas and are perhaps not accessible.
At that time, I had a saltwater aquarium, but never saw Clarions in the trade except in San Diego. I was much more into Blue Face/Emperor/Regals.
There were a few threads last year during the big Clarion scandel that discussed locations I believe.

Clarions do not need Cites , they are restricted cause Mexico goverement decided they are, not cause they are endangered species.
The charter to go to the islands where the Clarions are, will cost you alot of money, it's something like 400 miles from Cabo San Lucas.
I never heard about the Mexican permits for 2 fish,it's new to me.
From what I heard there is no fishing allowed there.
Im trying to get a couple for long time now, I guess I wont till somebody in Mexico will get some sense and will decide to start releasing some fish instead of them becoming food.

Trip not going to happen my wifes cousin moved back north to vancouver so now there is no need to go. i was thinking of trying to piggy a trip when we were there for a wedding.
not going to happen now so i guess i will have to see if my contact can get any at a reasonable price.

im a stickler for paying over 100 $ for anything. but i guess i can make an exception.
