Clarkii clown: sex changing abilities.

I have 2 Clarkii clowns and I know for sure one of them is a female. The other clarkii is either female or neither. The bigger Clarkii is not letting the smaller one near the GBTA, if the litte one is a female, is it possible for a female clarkii to turn into a male? They are less then a year old for sure, more like 3 months. They are about less then a inch long.

See the FAQ in the clowfish/anemone forum, but I'm pretty sure that once the clown is female it is always female.

Also, if you've had the two together since they were juveniles, the larger one is (will be) the female.

I did read that FAQ, but what threw me off was that it said that sex has to meet 2 requirenments: 12 - 24 months in age was one of them. I know for a fact that these guys are not even near 12 months old.

How do you know for sure that one is female if neither is 12 months old??

Well, I dont for sure. One of them is larger and is protecting the BTA. I assumed it was a female due to its larger size, but both are less then 1 inch. Is it possible that both of them are not female yet?

IF one of them has become the female, the other one will not. It sounds like they may both still be juveniles. The larger one will become the female (eventually), the smaller one will become the male. I wouldn't remove one unless you're afraid that the smaller one is going to get picked on (to death).

Read the FAQ on pairing. Your Clarkii will be "dancing" soon enough. Be patient.

Thanks again for you input bro! I am sure that they are both juveniles, both are less then an inch, but one is just more dominant.
