Clarkii Clown

HI guys I just wanted to know if it is normal for a Clarkii or african clown to show white spots on the body and fins when switching on the lights? every morning when I first switch on the lights the spots would be there and then it would be gone later in the day. he still seems very healthy and still has a HUGE appetite. He is one greedy little bugger. Am I just stressing for nothing or do you think I should be worried?

are we talking spots as in his markings/colouration or are we talking little pinhead sized white dots?

its pin size white dot. For me it does look like ICH but its there when I switch the lights on, but completely gone later. And he is still very energetic and active in the tank. looks quite happy and never shy always comes out to greet. I saw it this morning again when I left for work. I have not been home yet to see if its gone I will check as soon as I get home. Is there any other diseases that looks similar to ICH?

It is fairly common, from my understanding, for Ich to fall over during the day. I would suggest posting this to the diseases forum. There are people there who can help confirm your diagnosis and determine how to best treat your tank.

you know what it might be, my sebea when i first got him would dig in the sand and it would cling to him, it looked exactly like ich, but one day he went near a powerhead and it blew right off. just sounded like what happen to me
