Clarkii on regular egg laying schedule

Now that my clarkii is dropping eggs every 13-15 days, so far 5 batches of eggs. Can I try to set a cermanic plate or something in the tank to get them to lay the eggs on them?? The eggs are in the extact same spot each time. Or will this disrupt the cycle of egg laying? I tried a flat piece of rock and the clarkii's physically removed it. I leave for work at 5am in the morning, each time I missed getting them out after they hatch.

As long as you don't stress them out you shouldn't have any issues putting something down there for them to lay on, changing my plate, our placing the original never caused any issues with mine
