Clarkii are bigger and bolder. They take up much more space and have more personality. They are more likely to bully tankmates. My Clarkii bit me but the False Percs never did. Check my gallery for pics. YMMV

I have too many pictures in my gallery for anyone to find anything so...

I like them all for different reasons. My current favorites are my True Percs.

Personally, I don't much care for the way Clarkii's look once they are full grown. They look kind of "mean" and "clumsy". But it is just personal preference. I like the way False and True percs look the most. Skunks also have a nice body shape, but I don't much care for their coloring. If it was possible to keep a Male Maroon, I'd get one of those

But from your choices, I'd go with the False Perc. You could also do like me and get a False Perc and a Black Perc. They are the same species and will have great contrast swimming next to each other. I especially can't wait to get them an anemone. I could get a green or rose with my 2 false percs that would be awesome.

I'm really starting to like the Clarkii's, but my wife likes the False Perc. It's kind of a tug-of-war.
