clarki's?

i have a clarki in a 29gal that i have had about a year now and it is about 3inches. dont know if it is a male or a female, how do you tell. since i will be going to a 75 gal in a month or so after it cycles and put everything from the 29 to the 75. once i figure out the sex of the clarki will they or should they get along since i have no anenome it plays and sleeps in the xenia patch i have?
