<-----THIS GUY!!!

Mb167204 Im not going to be hard to miss.... I will be the guy on the bottom of the dog pile at the meeting.....

when is the deadline for this order? can anyone tell me what I need for a 48g, I have serpentine star, brittle star, sea cucumber, 1 blue leg crab, 0 snails, coral banded shrimp.

Jb, I can pick it up, I live in Kenmore.

Yeah thats no problem Scarab... The deadline is on the 12th I think is somewhere in this thread. You can also e-mail those guys and they will make up a custom poop crew for you... but for a 48 and with the 25% off you will make it out with what you need for under $40 prolly...

By the way, a local fish wholesaler has made some fish and coral available for this group buy, (he will get the orders from me and ship separately if the order goes over $200). No names on bags, or any of the services we offer, just the regular "group buy" service you would expect. Let me know if you are interested in making this available. He has great prices.

I asked John if the wholesaler had a website that you could all order from and I guess that its not for our eyes... lol so here is an email that I got back from him about how we would order from the wholesaler:

The deal with him and me though is that he doesn't have to answer any questions or handle support, I have to do that. Basically, I will email you an availability sheet like the one below, for the week of the group buy shipment. Post it, and tell customers to contact me directly with any order concerns and questions. I will add them up, when we reach $200, (he won't get out of bed for anything less), I will bill the members and get the order out to him. He ships it professionally, and we are good to go. Here is the current week, but I will send you a different one later:

Hey JB it sounds like this entire thing is becoming a bit of a task for you. I know I appreciate it very much, thanks.

Are we stepping on our supporting stores toes now? I think this needs to be discussed with the board before this moves on and is conducted at a meeting. I'm all for a deal but supporting the stores that support the club is more important. Clean up crew is one thing/ wholesale is another

I do agree with Erik on this. As much as I enjoy a bargain now and again, I think strong consideration should be given to the ramifications locally when buying off a wholesale livestock list as a club. Wholesalers from afar can do this with little fallout because they are selling at their same margins and in this case, anonymously so they do not upset their regular clientele which likely includes LFS's.

Personally, I would like to see this group buy limited to its original scope which is clean up crews only. I realize that some may not agree, however, please keep in mind how lucky we are to have quality stores here in N. Ohio. Many of these guys are operating on slimming margins to compete with online retailers.

Also, Jbmynes thanks for your efforts thus far.
