So my parameters are all good. But in 2 months, I've lost 4 out of 11 hermits, 2 out of 3 turbo snails, 2 out of 3 margharita snails and all 3 nassarius snails. Is that common. Some snails were lost through acclimation.

Depends on a bunch of factors.

What are your current levels? Are you 100% sure that you are completely cycled?

How big is the tank? It could be there just isn't enough food for everyone, and they are starving to death.

Once you find a nice equilibrium, the deaths will stop or become more rare. I haven't lost a snail or hermit in about 6 months, and my tank is just about a year old.

Also, you'll find that that hermits will gang up on and kill snails if they can.

It could be from crabs killing off other crabs and snails. Also are you feeding the CUC. 2 months, the tank is still rather new and may not be enough for them to eat.

IME, I had issues over my first tank's 6 mo, keeping inverts alive. I have no clue why. Nowadays that doesn't happen and I think it may be due to a more stable water chemistry (older and larger tank system). I also learned the hard way that I keep my water too warm for Margarita snails.

Also, crabs are *******s. Ceriths and Astreas proliferate in my crab-less tank. I depend on crabs in my tank with crabs who end up killing half of the added snails over time. The rest are faster, wiser and generally larger like turbos.

How old is your tank? I say add your CUC, let it play out however it does. Learn what species thrive and work hard in your tank then play to that.
