clean up crew shopping

i live about 45 min. away from Cleveland and i can't find a store anywhere around me or about 30min. south of me that has anything im looking for! i just was a peppermint shrimp/cleaner shrimp and 2 different snails.. you wouldn't think this would be hard to keep in a store but i can't find any! if anyone has any good stores in around cleveland that's open on the weekends that would have these please let me know!! or if anyone is selling some of their crew! thanks

You just missed the clean up crew group buy that Mike (The Coral Shoppe) did for us. Also, last time I was at Salty Critter Dan had about 15 peppermint shrimp in one tank and he almost always has cleaner shrimp. He stocks a few different snails too. Those things seem like such common items that anyone should have them.
You may be closer to Aquatic Technologies and could give Greg a try too.

I thought there were a couple decent places in Akron that had livestock. That has to be close for you.

there is a place called 2 turtles but they haven't received their last 2 shippments.. other than that there is a petco in canton that doesn't have any snails and like 1 shrimp and a place called wet pets that is empty as well

Hi,

It's kind of lean in the Akron area. Aquatic Tech or Salty Critter are about the two closet places with decent selections of live stock. Two Turtles has a decent selection of fish but are kind of weak on the corals & inverts. Pet Junction at the corner of Fishcreek & Graham Rd. have inverts but their prices ar kind of high. There is I think a Petco in Macedonia(Rt.82 east of Rt.8) and a small pet shop in Norhtfield on Rt. 8 in a Shopping Plaza.
They both from time to time have inverts for sale.

Dont go to the petco in Macedonia they are really bad. I would however go to the place in Northfield. I have been there a few times and they have some OK stuff just don't trust their advise, sometimes it is not very good. Do you know what kind of snails you want and how many, because I may be able to help you out on that. HTH, Tim

yea im lookin for some Cerith and some Nassarius Snails just about 5-10 of each..im also looking for a cleaner shrimp and a peppermint or 2 shrimps.. i have been to that Pet Junction a few times because its only about 15min. away from me.. they really don't carry inverts.. i have really never seen either of those snails there.. they are kinda pricey like you said. ill have to check out those 2 stores you guys have mentioned.. if you have the phone number that would be great lol.. thanks for all the feedback guys!~ Jim

I still think that your best be would be Salty Critter. It is well worth the drive. Just make sure that you take lots of money! HTH, Tim
