Cleaner shrimp and ich

Just currious as to whether or not cleaner shrimp can realy help take care of ich, and even possibly help clean the parasite from fish?

Have read alot of statements along the lines of "I heard that," or " so and so told me he bought one and...." Was hoping to find if this is truely fact or fiction.

I'm about to post a question about ich as well, but I can tell you that cleaner shrimp do eat the spots on the fish.

My flame angel is infected and it spends a lot of time close to the shrimp letting him do his job. Whether this is effective or not, I don't know and I don't intend to wait to see either...

Cleaner shrimps will help in fighting ick. However, cleaner shrimps cannot eliminate ick from your tank.

Thanks for the info. Aslo, maybe it'll help you a bit as well, but my Coral Beauty looks much better after a FW dip in addition to health doses of Vita Chem.
