Cleaner Shrimp effect on Clownfish Spawning Habits

I'm wondering if anyone knows if the presence of cleaner shrimp can discourage a pair of clowns from spawning?

I thought I read that once, but can't remember where....

My otherwise happy couple of clowns OUGHT to spawn, but they aren't. It doesn't look like the shrimp is really bothering their spot, but I figured it was worth an ask.

I keep all my breeding pairs in 10 gal tanks & the ONLY thing other than water is a clay pot for the clowns & pvc for the dottybacks. Years ago I kept live rock in with them & I added snails & 1 pair stopped breeding for 2 months. I removed the snails & they started up again. I think it was the change in adding them since I have breed them in a stocked reef tank.
