How well do cleaner shrimp do? (as far as cleaning parasites and algea when theres no parasite) Or how do they work if im wrong? Also how many would you recomend in a 75 gal?
Thanks

They are good scavengers. Haven't heard or seen that they do much for algae control. I believe a pair is better than one. They stay together and set up a "fish wash" in a section of the tank. The fish seem to enjoy the process and it is fun to watch. There is argument as to wether or not they eat the crptocaryon irritans parasite(ich). They do ,however, keep many parasites off the fish. I would not rely on them for ich treatment.

There just good to have for a cleanup crew. Sometimes they will clean fish but really who knows how much help they are for fighting off diseases. For your 75 i'd get a pair depending on how much you feed two pairs could work their friendly with each other ime.
