Cleaning a 6100

Is there a recommended way to clean a Tunze 6100 Stream? The stream has some calcium build-up on the inside and the output could be better. Thanks

Here is how I clean it.
Completely disassemble it per the instruction manual.
Don't forget to take the red O-ring out of the very bottom (I find that this is where the biggest problems lay) and soak it in a 75/50 (white vinegar to water) solution for a few hours.
Brush off, rinse well, reassemble and place back in tank.

See the sticky thread at the top of the forum. Sean is correct, but I provide photos to help in the thread.

how are you removing the very bottom o-ring?
i tried the screw and it didnt seem to do a thing?

in the cleaning thread it shows it at the bottom of the prop/impeller shaft...when i remove the prop shaft i dont see this part and even tried the screw like roger reccomends still not seeing the part....could it just bee stuck in the block well?

im at a loss

TIA

Yes,
it is at the bottom of the the "hole"
All you can see by looking down is the bearing, this covers the O-ring.
Physically grab that and pull it out.
If it doesn't come out easily, soak it in vinegar for a bit then try again.
