Cleaning a 9010

After about 18 months of use, I finally broke down and took my 9010 out of the sump to clean it. I had noticed over the last few weeks that it was no longer creating enough bubbles to actually skim the water. After giving it a thorough cleaning, I noticed the air tube had a lot of calcium buildup that was blocking the air. I was able to clean that out. However, there is also a lot of calcium inside the air "pipe" that appears to be permanently glued on. Is there a way to clean this?

PS - Thanks for sending the C-clamp, Roger.

Submerge the whole skimmer in 25/75 vinegar and water, an old salt bucket is perfect for this, you probably need 1 gallon of white vinegar. Plug it in submerged and let it run, it will pull the vinegar through and clean it out.
