"Cleaning " my zoa

I have a colony of about 100 or so red zoa's. There seems to be some kinda green feaf or plant like thing growing on the rock coming up through the zoa's. Can I take the rock out of the water and when the polyps retract, pull the plant material out?

I would just get a Foxface to eat it off. Do u have any tangs in your system?? If so, what kind??

Yes you can. I've done it quite successfully with no harm to the zoas.

I do have a Naso Tang but wont eat it.
